Bring me back to holding hands in the rain, I swear I’d ease your pain. (Source: cinematic-orchestra, via pupthatbaresteeth)
You pulled Tricia’s spine length hair, because she was my friend first. We danced around my backyard wearing preschool underwear. Tricia called me Laney and you barely knew my name. When I knew you long enough to call you Jakey, the wallpaper that covered your kitchen draped itself over my blue walls. Your house became my own. I tied your shoes together. Watching you trip around the basement. Hid in that tall wardrobe hoping to find Narnia, but with you, I was already there. The moving truck came in 7th grade. The corners of my room peeled, and I realized wallpaper can’t be stuffed into boxes.
People began to call me Del, Now you barely know my name, but I know you want to.

I don’t want to belong to a million people. Maybe just one or two. It wont get lonely though. I promise.
